Mark,   FROM: gregory.wynn@jax.ufl.edu

I just wanted to thank you all again for making the trip up to Jacksonville last Saturday.  Everyone I have spoken with had a great time at our Radiology department’s Resident Welcome Party and the Mark Anthony Band was largely responsible for that feeling.  I have received quite a bit of positive feedback regarding your group’s performance that evening.

I personally enjoyed meeting all four members of the band.  Thank you for providing such dynamic and fun entertainment.  It is impossible to find a weakness in the make-up of the Mark Anthony Band or in your musical performance.

Kristina has an incredible voice and stage presence and makes for the perfect “front girl”.  You are obviously very talented both instrumentally (I was amazed at how quickly and easily you switched from keyboards to guitar) and vocally.  And it must be rare to find a percussionist like Chuck and a bass player like Bobby who can dominate their instruments but also have voices that allow them to not only provide fine back-up vocals but also take the lead on some numbers.

I have a new 32GB SDHC card on order and promise to copy the video I made just as soon as the card arrives and forward it to you as we discussed.  I have to warn you, I have watched it and, although your band’s performance is flawless, my camera skills leave a lot to be desired.

This was my first venture into hiring musicians to perform live.   I realize now I got extremely lucky in finding the Mark Anthony Band and contacting you.  I certainly plan on asking for your help again with any future similar gig I decide to sponsor.  Please feel free to use me as a reference for any other individual or group considering entertainment by the Mark Anthony Band.  At the end of the night, I am certain they will be as pleased as we were.

Thank you once again and please pass on my appreciation to Kristina, Chuck and Bobby.

Reference Letter

If anyone can belt out Nathaniel Rateliff's "S.O.B." with more soulful and seemingly authentically pained toe-tapping gospel conviction than Marc Anthony, it would have to Rateliff hmself. Believing that which I heard at the pool yesterday to be a recording, I was both pulled in and surprised to see a singer. I was further surprised that it was anyone other than the recording artist himself.    J Hibard

As Billy Joel laments that "Only the Good Die Young," let's hope a seemingly addicted Rateliff and his Night Sweats, or Marc for that matter,  take a path other than  Amy Winehouse's.

What a satisfyingly soulful and low down juke joint jumpin'  funk. Kudos to whoever brought the Marc Anthony Band in.

Joe Hibard
